The annual Relay for Life began Friday night with a Survivors Walk where more than 75 cancer survivors took one lap around the track amid cheers from supporters. The walk continued all night with help from about 120 donors. This year's walk chair, Carrie Brantz, says her motivations for helping with Relay for Life are similar to most people's.
As of Friday night, Relay for Life had raised more than $20,000. Brantz talked about how the money was raised leading up to and throughout the night.
Relay for Life is held each year in Sheridan at Normative Services Inc., and anyone who is interested can help by donating money or supporting the cause by walking through the night.
