The City of Sheridan hosted the last of their public open houses Thursday night in an effort to garner feedback on an ordinance that is being proposed that would allow electronic signs in Sheridan.
The City in 2006 enacted restrictions against electronic signage. City Planning and Economic Development Director Robert Briggs said that they’ve been taking a look at how other communities around Wyoming govern electronic signage.
Briggs said that plans are to present specific recommendations and a draft ordinance to the city planning commission at its meeting on May 8. He said that the draft ordinance would come before the City Council at their May 15 meeting.
