Red Grade Road, also known as County Road 26, is under a no unnecessary travel advisory effective at 5 p.m. today. This advisory was issued because of Sunday's snow accumulation and current weather conditions.
Effective this Friday, November 30th, Red Grade Road will close for the season. Public Works Director, Rod Liesinger, will be closing the road at noon per the orders of the Sheridan Board of County Commissioners. This means that the road will be closed to all motorized traffic - except for track vehicles and certain off-road vehicles that are properly tagged and licensed.
The Sheridan County Commissioners said in a media release that track or off-road vehicle travel on Red Grade Road after the closure is at the public's own risk.
Again, no unnecessary travel is advised on Red Grade Road until it closes for the season this Friday at noon.
