The wet spring has forced Sheridan County to keep Red Grade Road closed longer than usual this year, as it's typically open by Memorial Day weekend.
County officials announced Wednesday that Red Grade will open to the Ranger Station this Friday at 8 am. County Commissioner Tom Ringley.
Ringley says that safety was the main issue for delaying the opening this year.
Ringley thanked the public for their patience and cooperation while crews have been working getting the road fit for travel. Once again, Red Grad Road will open to the Ranger Station this Friday at 8 am.
And WYDOT has also announced that U.S. 14A between Lovell and Burgess Junction is scheduled to open for the summer season this Thursday at 5 pm.
