Sheridan Recreation District will be moving out of the old Highland Park school soon.

The Sheridan Recreation District has been utilizing and occupying the old Highland Park School for a little over three years now. That will soon change however, as plans are to build the new Meadowlark Elementary School on the current site, meaning students at Meadowlark will relocate this fall to the old Highland Park facility.

Sheridan Recreation District Director Richard Wright explains what that means for the Recreation District.

Wright talks about the move from one school to another.

Wright said that there has been on average, about 3,000 people a month who use the old Highland Park facility, and that they hope to make the transition to Woodland park as smooth as possible.
