The Sheridan Recreation District Board of Trustees approved a proposal from OLC out of Denver Colorado to design a spray park in Sheridan. The spray park would be located within Thorne-Rider Park, however; the exact location will be determined in the future by OLC. Board Member Bill Mentock raised the question of affordability of the project.
That's Sheridan Recreation District Director Richard Wright, who said that there will be two upcoming public meetings on the project. The contract approved with OLC is set up in phases, with phase one being in the amount of $10,325.00; which is the design phase of the project.
Wright said that if the project doesn't seem feasible after the design phase is completed, they have the option to opt out of the contract if they desire.
