The Sheridan Recreation District is currently working on their budget for fiscal year 2011-2012. In order to make up some of the losses that are incurred every season at the Kendrick Park Pool, the Rec. District Board of Trustees approved to raise the fees this summer. Sheridan Recreation District Executive Director Richard Wright.

The Board also voted to set a family pass limit of 6 members per pass. This was done because 15 out of the 24 family passes that were sold last year had more than 9 individuals on a pass, and one family pass actually had 28 individuals. Wright points out that an increase in swimming lessons was also approved for this year.

There will also be an increase in fees for the upcoming Little Guy Football season as well. For Students within School District Two, the fees have been raised $5 for 1st through 4th graders, and $10 for the 5th and 6th graders in the tackle program. Wright said that the modest fee increases will allow the Recreation District to maintain the quality of their programs and continue to make them an enjoyable experience for those taking part.
