RAWLINS, Wyo. (AP) - Rawlins officials are considering allowing people living in recreational vehicles to permanently stay in mobile home parks. The Rawlins City Council will vote on the proposed ordinance Tuesday. The city normally does not allow RVs from setting up residence in mobile home parks. But city officials say people were given temporary exemptions because of lack of housing in the area. The city ordinance would grandfather in owners of recreational vehicles, also known as RVs, who had taken residence in a mobile home park before June 2. Others would not be allowed to set up outside designated RV parks.RV owners would still have to comply with certain city requirements, such as getting a building permit if they want to build enclosed porches.
