Looking for an alternative to the brouhaha that rodeo week brings? Then take a look at “The Watcher” as it takes center stage at the WYO Theater tonight and Friday evening.
It’s a family friendly movie that brings a message of redemption and personal responsibility. It is the story about Justus, a watcher, who protects mankind from itself, but when he crosses the line and becomes in danger of falling, he is sent away to a small town and there, young Sammy befriends him and challenges him to see the goodness in mankind.
“The Watcher” is the brainchild of Sheridan’s own Nate Bernard, who wrote, filmed, and edited the production. He hopes the message hits home.
Tickets for the premier event are $10 and available at the WYO or online at watcherthemovie.com. The movie begins at 8 p.m. each night and will be followed by a “meet and greet” and question and answer session with Bernard and Mike Gentry, who plays Justus in the movie.
