It's been well over twenty years since Senator Bruce Burns began sharing his love of pyrotechnics with the community at the annual July 4th Fireworks Show at the Big Horn Equestrian Center.

Burns was a guest on Tuesday's Public Pulse program, and he explains how the fireworks were handled in the early days.

Over time, trial and error and of course the advancements in technology, the past five years have seen the transition to digital programming. And this year, says one of Burns assistants, Julie Wang.

Wang, along with her father, Dr. David Wang, lived in Sheridan several years ago, but they have returned every year to help design and implement the annual Fireworks Show.

Leading up to the big bangs in the sky will be a pre-show concert at 6 pm featuring Gary Small and the Coyote Brothers. Then, Sheridan Media will continue the tradition of broadcasting the simulcast of the fireworks music on FM 94.9.

Pre-show music will begin at about 9:30 pm on Monday, July 4th, with the fireworks and simulcast starting at 10 o'clock sharp.
