It's not everyday that someone has a tooth extracted when it isn't exactly necessary. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter takes a look at one individual who went above and beyond to raise some funds.
To kick off the fundraising for this year's Volunteers of America Northern Rockies Bandana Barn Dance to benefit the Sheridan Community Shelter, VOA President and CEO Jeff Holsinger recently had a gold tooth extracted. The reason for the extraction? The theme for this year's local fund-raising event is Gold Rush, and VOA has partnered with Kraft's Fine Jewelery of Sheridan to take donations of people's scrap gold.
But back to the tooth pulling incident for a bit, Holsinger says that he didn't even have to think twice about receiving the big yank.
Holsinger explains how people can get involved in donating their scrap gold.
Along with a tax deduction, your gold donation will allow you to receive gaming coupons at the Barn Dance equal to the worth of your appraised gold. Tickets for the fourth annual Bandana Barn Dance are on sale now for $100. The event will take place Saturday, September 10th at the Winfield Ranch in Banner, Wyoming.
