The Sheridan City Council held their latest budget work session Thursday at City Hall. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the details.
City of Sheridan Public Works Director Nic Bateson stated at the work session that Public Works is 28 percent of the City's overall general fund budget and that they are proposing a $418,000 increase in the general fund for the upcoming fiscal year. Bateson said that revenues are projected to be up for the year, which is the reason for an increase to the public works budget.
Bateson explains that something new for this year is to present the Council with a two-year budget outlook.
The City will adopt their budget for the upcoming fiscal year in mid June.
