Outdoor enthusiasts will have an opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the Big Horn Mountains and help raise money for a good cause. A week from Saturday, February 27th, the 1st Annual Snowshoe Shuffle will take place at Camp Bethel, located between Lake Sibley and the Arrowhead Lodge. Michelle Maneval with The Sports Stop/Foot of the Big Horns explains.
The money raised will go to Camp Bethel for their camp improvements. Matt Tremain became director of Camp Bethel two seasons ago, and he describes what improvements are being made.
Tremain says there will be three snowshoe courses to fit the ages and abilities of all ages.
The event gets underway February 27th at 11 am at Camp Bethel. Cost for the Snowshoe Shuffle is $20, which includes a homemade chili lunch and hot chocolate, use of Red Feather snowshoes, and a beanie bearing the logos of all the sponsors. If you've never used snowshoes before, Maneval says that they will provide them for you at no charge, but you do need to pre-register at The Sports Stop to reserve them.
