The Wyoming Public Service Commission has been holding hearings in Cheyenne this week regarding the proposed Montana Dakota Utilities rate increase that would have a profound effect on Sheridan rate payers. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has more.
Bill Bensel with the Powder River Basin Resource Council was able to attend some of the hearings on Tuesday and Wednesday. I caught up with Bill via telephone to get his impression on how things went.
Bensel says that a lot of the input from the recent public hearing in Sheridan with the PSC has sunk in.
Bensel said that there is a May deadline on when the PSC must rule on the rate increase, but that an extension could be filed prior to that deadline. However, Bensel indicated that a ruling will most likely come before that time.
