The government mandated upgrades to the Big Goose and Sheridan Water Treatment Plants are right on schedule. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.
The upgrades to both plants are to meet Environmental Protection Agency requirements for the removal of cryptosporidium from the raw water supply. City of Sheridan Project Manager Joe Schoen says that the $6 million project remains on schedule.
The timeline for the project indicates that the completion of the fluoride component for both treatment plants will be done in mid August during a two-week working period. The target completion date for the conventional upgrades at both plants is January 1, 2015.
