Sheridan Fire Marshal, Brian Songer, has provided more details about Saturday's fire at the Probation and Parole office on Coffeen Avenue.

He said firefighters were downtown when they got the call about the structure fire.

Songer said the fire was knocked down within 3 minutes of their arrival. However, he said the interior of the first floor of the building took a hard hit from the flames.

No one was in the building at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, and Songer indicated any further information regarding results of the investigation will be deferred to the Sheridan Police Department.

Goose Valley Fire Department, Rocky Mountain Ambulance, and the Sheridan Police Department assisted in the response to this incident.
