Private Giving to UW Last Year Breaks Record

The University of Wyoming has set a record for private donations received in a year, exceeding the $40 million mark for the first time in its history. UW Foundation President, Ben Blalock, said in a release from UW that this success is a result of the good things happing at UW, and it will bring more success.

The record year had the state's university bring in $43.1 million in private donations in the fiscal year that ended June 30, according to the release. Giving has now breached $40 million two times, the last time being in 2008 when they raised just over 43 million.
