The Wyoming Wilderness Association has announced there will be 18 free summer outings this year taking place all over the state. From examining the damage and regrowth occurring in the Rock Creek Wilderness Area following last year's Gilead Fire, to a grizzly bear ecology tour in the Shoshone National Forest, there's plenty going on as warmer weather approaches.
Associate Director of the Wyoming Wilderness Association, Carolyn Schroth, describes the first outing scheduled for this summer which will be led by Doug Lorain - a man who literally wrote the books on backpacking.
The next outing planned for the Rock Creek Wilderness area just north of Buffalo is set for June 22. Scroth explains.
We'll have more information on the WWA's outings as summer approaches and post a complete schedule of these free hikes and tours in the coming weeks.
