Today: Shopping Showcase, Children's Bazaar, Gingerbread Fun
Over the next few days we will be looking at the happenings this weekend in Buffalo. Saturday features the annual Chili Feed and Christmas Parade, but much, much more is going on as well.
From 9am to 3pm at the Cowboy Carousel Center on Lobban Street is the Downtown Shopping Showcase. Find gift ideas from the many vendors in Buffalo that run their businesses from home or from another “non-traditional” site.
The Buffalo Children's Center Christmas Bazaar will also be happening from 9am to 3pm at the Johnson County Fairgrounds' Community Building. Arts and Crafts booths,bake sales, hot dogs and sloppy joes and other refreshments will be available. Admission is free.
A gingerbread workshop will be offered Saturday at Sheridan College in Johnson County. There is a limit of two houses per family and you must RSVP beforehand. Admission to the workshop is a donation to the Bread Of Life Food Pantry. Call 684-2353 to RSVP.
The Christmas Gingerbread Contest is happening at the Buffalo Senior Center Saturday evening. Drop off your decorated gingerbread house after pm and pick it up after the parade, Call 684-9551 to enter.
Be sure to enjoy some hot chocolate, cider and gingerbread that will be for sale at the senior center after the parade.
