Sheridan and Johnson County Prevention coalitions are working to conduct a community needs assessment about the Sheridan area to tailor programs unique to the population.
Thom Gabrukiewicz, a community prevention specialist, explains the work is intended to cover several social issues.
The initial step in the process consists of data collection, which includes a 150-page workbook that will be completed by selected members of the community. Gabrukiewicz says there will also be open discussions with the community.
We'll have more about the community needs assessment tomorrow on Sheridan Media News.
