Powder River Ranch Rodeo Features Regional Ranches, Hands

This Saturday, July 5th at the Johnson County Fairgrounds will be the Powder River Ranch Rodeo.

This rodeo highlights local and regional ranches, represented by their ranch hands, competing in some non-traditional events all for bragging rights amongst themselves.

Bruce Bolli, one of the organizers for the event, said there will be ranches represented from all over Johnson County, from over by Powell, from near Wright and many other places from around the region.

The rodeo events are completely full of contestants, he said.

Bolli tells us more about the different events, beginning with the Ranch Scramble.

He tells us more about Trailer Loading.

And what is Double Mugging?

And How about Wild Cow Riding?

The Rodeo will begin at 6 o'clock Saturday evening, but the Calcutta will begin at 5:30.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for kids 5 to 18 and kids 4 and under are free.
You can pick tickets up at the Johnson County Fair Board Office at the fairgrounds; MTR Ranch Supply; and Big Horn Co-Op in Buffalo.
