Mother Nature didn't put a damper on the 3rd annual Powder River Let 'Er Buck Celebration Monday night at Whitney Commons Park. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter was there and has the story.
While the severe thunderstorm that rolled through the area just prior to the start of the event may have delayed the celebration honoring soldiers and veterans past and present, it certainly didn't stop the event from taking place. Those that addressed the crowd that rode out the storm included Sheridan Mayor Dave Kinskey, Whitney Benefits President Tom Kinnison, Author and Edward A. Whitney Historian Sam Western and Author Sam Morton.
Those in attendance were also treated to a concert by the Wyoming National Guard 67th Army Band.
