Sheridan Media has learned that the Powder River County Sheriff is advising residents to evacuate as the Ash Creek Fire continues to move to the North and East. Areas in immediate danger are Stacey Creek, Marble Creek, Little Pumpkin Creek, south to Highway 212, which is currently closed to traffic. Authorities are putting emphasis on a great potential for fire growth given the hot, dry, and windy conditions that are in the weather forecast. Sheridan Media will have more information as the story develops.
