Poll Question: State High School Football Championship Venue

War Memorial Stadium at the University of Wyoming
War Memorial Stadium at the University of Wyoming

For the second year, the Wyoming State High School Football Championships were played in War Memorial Stadium at the University of Wyoming in Laramie. Vying for the State Title in three of the classes were schools from NE Wyoming, making travel for a larger number of fans more prohibitive, than if the Championships were to be held in a more central location in the state.

The issue prompted us to repeat a Bank of Sheridan / sheridanmedia.com poll question we posed after the 2009 State Championships: Should the State High School Football Championships continue to be played at War Memorial Stadium in Laramie?

Let us know what you think. Cast your vote here: http://www.sheridanmedia.com/pol... and feel free to leave appropriate comments. Then be sure to tune in to the Jackson Electric Open Line this Friday morning at 9:10 to hear the results, on NewsTalk 930 KROE.

think about it...

"Vying for the State Title in three of the classes were schools from NE Wyoming, making travel for a larger number of fans more prohibitive, than if the Championships were to be held in a more central location in the state."

Is it just me or could this be an argument for why a larger number of fans would travel down to see the Championships? Would you be more likely to travel down to Laramie for a chance to see 3 teams from our area battle it out at War Memorial Stadium, than if 1 or 2 schools from our area were down there?

hey gollum, chalst, and BB...since when is it ok to put down youth in this town? do you even know lane personally? all you do all day long is judge people by what they post online here...especially you gollum. gollum, you are probably a lonely man in your

It is the kids game....

Let them decide. Have the high schools in the State conduct a vote that only the players can vote on whether to have the games at home or in Laramie. They are young adults, they are the players, let them decide.
