On June 3rd, after only one week's notice, the Hand in Hand Early Childhood Center closed its doors after citing financial struggles.
In mid-March, former employee Cammie Paumer was arrested for embezzling from the Center, which has caused some to wonder if that contributed to the ultimate closure, or if the finances were generally mishandled prior to learning of her alleged crimes.
The topic prompted this week's Bank of Sheridan / sheridanmedia.com poll question: “Should the SEEDA Board investigate Hand in Hand's finances to try to determine why it failed?”
