Recently, U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner warned Congress that unless the federal debt ceiling is increased by mid-July, the nation's coffers will default.
Opponents to this idea feel that interest on our debts should be paid, while others feel that this would not even touch the problem in the long run.
