At the April 18th Sheridan City Council meeting, Sheridan developer Steve Grimshaw approached the Council to see if they would reconsider approving a re-zone from R-1 to R-3 on property west of Sheridan. His plan was to build a 54-unit, three-story affordable housing senior living apartment complex near the Green House Cottages.
On April 4th, the Council voted against the proposal, but on April 18th, Grimshaw presented a modified plan which showed a building that was not as tall as he'd originally designed. Council remained firm in their “no” vote.
The decision prompted this week's Bank of Sheridan / sheridanmedia.com poll question: Should the Sheridan City Council have approved developer Steve Grimshaw's request for an R-3 designation to build senior apartments?
