The Wyoming Doomsday Bill met its end by the slightest of margins last week in Cheyenne, but the idea behind it may have left some wondering whether or not such a measure might be necessary.
The bill would have funded a study of Wyoming's survivability in the case of national government failure.
While some were frustrated with the bad press Wyoming received for the speculative discussion in what they thought should be a somber lawmaking arena in Cheyenne, others weren't completely opposed to the idea of a what-if scenario prepared by a state that might be in healthy enough condition to afford the option.
