Texting and driving has been illegal in Wyoming since July of 2010, and total bans are becoming more popular in states across the country.
Some companies make it a policy that personnel must use a hands-free device while operating a company vehicle. Penalties can be as strict as termination for not abiding by those rules.
Awareness campaigns condemn the distraction more and more these days, saying it's as just dangerous as drinking and driving.
