The Sheridan Police Department is now taking applications for their 4th annual Citizen's Academy. Sheridan Media's Ron Richter has the story.

The Citizen's Academy will begin February 25 and run through April 29, and will meet once a week at the Police Department from 6 to 9 pm. Sheridan Police Sgt. Tom Ringley says that they will be covering a a little bit of everything of what the department does on a day-to-day basis.

Since the academy meets weekly for a little over two months, Sgt. Travis Koltiska says that a commitment is required from participants.

The Police Department would like to have applications submitted by February 15. More information on the program as well as how to submit an application can be found by clicking here.
