Police Department Advises Parade Goers to Wait to put out Chairs

Each year parade goers scramble to get the best spots on Main to watch the parade. The Sheridan Police Department suggests that those putting out chairs early should wait until Friday morning.

Lt. Andrew Conrad says that they have had problems in the past with chairs that were put out Thursday night being moved or broken. If people choose to do so, Conrad said that no chairs should be put out before stores close on Main Thursday evening.

If Main street is full on Friday, the parade travels for six blocks on Main Street and then turns on Works and moves on Gould from Works to Dow, for those looking for other places to watch the parade.
