Planting Trees: No Time Like the Present

At Monday's School District 2 board meeting, it was announced that part of the bid awarded to Mountain View Construction for demolition and abatement of Meadowlark Elementary on DeSmet included a $45,000 alternate bid to move the numerous trees from that property to Highland Park Elementary School.

Many people assume spring is the time to plant and transplant trees and other perennials. Not always so, says Scott Hiniger, University of Wyoming Extension Educator. He says that in fact, there is no time like the present for planting trees:
