The City of Sheridan Planning Commission recommended approval of annexing 56.9 acres of land into City limits that is located north of the intersection of Brundage and Commercial Lanes. The area is best known as Sheridan Commercial Park and the City recently entered into a settlement with property owners and and the original developer where the City will provide sewer infrastructure to the subdivision in exchange for three lots to use for economic development.
City Planning Director Robert Briggs says that the annexation is just one component of the settlement.
Upgrades to the existing roadway will be paid for by the property owners as part of a special improvement district. Those improvements are estimated to cost $394,000.
