The City of Sheridan Planning Commission approved a rezone request made by Perkins Wilson LLC to rezone an entire City block, which includes their commercial building located at 304 Coffeen Avenue, from R-3 residential to B-1 business. City Planning Director Robert Briggs.
The primary reason for the rezone request is because of the sign limitations on residential districts. The rezone would allow for the petitioners to use commercial style signage for their commercial building. The matter still has to be approved on three readings by the City Council. The item won't be on the next City Council meeting however, as Briggs said that the rezone has to be advertised 15 days in advance of it being considered by the Council.
