At Monday's meeting of the Sheridan Planning Commission, the commissioners voted unanimously to approve the most recent and final plat for the Cloud Peak Ranch. This will subdivide a single tract of the Sheridan Country Club Minor Subdivision into more than 35 separate lots and four open space outlots - of nearly 14 acres.

The subdivision is located west of the intersection of Mydland Road and Bruce Mountain Drive and will create 36 lots for single family home construction. Each of the lots on the 13.93 acre plat range in size from more than 8,000 sq. feet to just over 20,000 sq. feet.

Planning and Development Director Robert Briggs explains the scope of the project.

Briggs says this, as well as a number of similar subdivision projects currently in the works, means the economy could be turning around.

The planning commission first reviewed and approved the preliminary plat for the Cloud Peak Ranch last June and since then only minor changes have been made. Staff with the city's Planning Division received neither positive or negative feedback after the nearest neighbors were notified.
