The Johnson County Health Fair's blood draws will happen next week in Buffalo and the following week in Kaycee, but planning and preparation for the draws should begin now.
The types of tests and health screens you should get is something you should discuss with your healthcare provider to make sure all of your risks are looked into and all existing conditions are under control.
Marcy Schueler, Marketing Director at JCHC, said the blood draws in Buffalo will be at the fairgrounds from Monday, February 11th through Friday, February 15th from 7 to 10am all week. The draws in Kaycee will be Wednesday, February 20 and Thursday, February 21st from 7:30 to 10:30 am.
She tells us what the next step in the process is after the draws.
According to the Heath Fairs Wyoming web site, Johnson County has again teamed with Health Fairs of Wyoming to bring these low-cost screenings to residents of the county.
The screenings available are: Chem Panel, C Reactive Protein, Hemogram, Colo Kit, Health Assessment, Thyroid panel, Hemoglobin A1C, Ferritin, PSA (for men), Vitamin D Screen and Blood Type.
Contacting your healthcare provider to discuss which tests you may need is important before you go.
