Presented by the Johnson County Arts and Humanities Council, underwritten by Sheridan's Dr. Seymour Thickman through the Muriel and Seymour Thickman Family Charitable Trust is the Piatigorsky Foundation's Tour of Wyoming.
This Friday, pianist and Piatigorsky Foundation Artist Richard Dowling will give a concert at the Buffalo High School Auditorium at 7pm.
According to information provided by the JCAHC, Dowling was hailed by the New York Times as “an especially impressive, fine pianist.”
He has given solo recitals, been a guest soloist with orchestras and has appeared at music festivals all over the country. He has performed in North America, the Far East, Africa, Europe and Australia. He has many recordings of his performances, and is currently working on a multi-volume edition of Ravel's piano works for Ludwig/masters Music Publications.
He has a love of French music, art and culture and has studied at the Conservatoire in Nice, received a Grand Prix from the French Piano Institute and has a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from the University of Texas.
The concert is free and open to the public.
