The Martinsen Gallery at Sheridan College will be the venue for an intriguing photography show, with a reception for the artist scheduled for this afternoon.

Dave Marquith is a Criminal Justice instructor at the college, whose background is in the Fine Arts. Not a typical combination, Marquith explains how his career evolved.

His show is called “This and That; Here and There.” Not to worry – the images on display are not from crime scenes; rather, they are rather ordinary subjects shown in extraordinary ways. Marquith discusses the medium of using digital photography to capture his images.

An Artist's Reception for Marquith will be held this afternoon from 4:30 to 6 pm in the Martinsen Gallery. It is free and open to the public, and Marquith has a small gift for the first fifty people who attend.

The Martinsen Gallery is located next to the President's Office in the Whitney Building. “This and That, Here and There” can be viewed during college hours of 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday until February 3rd.
