It's been 13 years since Up with People last stopped in Sheridan, but this time next month, students from around the world will be coming to stay in town with host families for an opportunity to experience the world's many cultures.

Misael Oliver with Up with People explains what the organization is all about. But it's simple: bringing the world together.

Students from three regions of the globe will be arriving in Sheridan on August 12, staying until August 19. Over the past four decades of the program in full swing around the world, Up with People participants have interacted with 500,000 families in 40 different countries.

Lorna Murphy, who's also affiliated with Up with People, explains what the participants will be doing in Sheridan for the majority of their short stay.

Murphy says the group performance will take place on August 16 and 17 at the Sheridan Junior High School auditorium. If you're interested in signing up as a host family, contact Misael at 303-515-1545 or send him an email at moliver@upwithpeople.org.
