Tonight is the big night of candy harvest for costumed youngsters. One can only assume that means tomorrow, kids in the town will have stockpiled a respectable mass of sugar-filled treats. Amanda Bailey, office administrator at Bighorn Pediatric Dentistry, says that while a large pile of Halloween spoils has trophy status for a few days after the holiday, the reality is that kids probably don't need all of the candy they've accumulated.
Not to worry, though. Amanda and her husband, Dr. David Bailey, will host a Halloween Candy Buy-Back event Friday at their office from 3 to 5 p.m. Bailey goes over the payout rates.
The repossessed candy will be sent to Operation Gratitude for inclusion in care packages to servicemembers stationed in war zones. Bighorn Pediatric Dentistry is located at 642 Val Vista.
