State Representative John Patton of Sheridan says the “crossover” phase of Wyoming's legislature started this week, which means the bills changed hands between the House and Senate.
The Sheridan County Republican says the past two weeks have seen the House and Senate focus on their own bills. Now they'll start looking at the measures passed by lawmakers on the other side of the Legislature.
The representative also said after an initial two weeks of hectic action, activity this week seems to be calmer. He said he's feeling good about the budget this year. He said steps taken by prior legislatures seem to have ensured there will be ample funds to meet this year's financial needs.
