In late August of this year, the WYO Theater, the City of Sheridan, and Sheridan College partnered to submit a grant application through the Wyoming Business Council. The grant is for a Business Ready Communities Grant in the amount of $3 million. The plan is to renovate not only the WYO Theater, but to also renovate the Hallmark and Perkins buildings as well. Young also says that they will be looking for roughly $600,000 in funding to provide services to Veterans.

Young said that the College would also like to conduct a feasibility study on possibly remodeling the Thorne-Rider building, which is currently home to the student commons, dining hall and book store.
