The Volunteers of America Northern Rockies are, once again, partnering with Sheridan County for the juvenile justice and delinquency prevention program.
The county approved the agreement Tuesday with the non-profit organization to attain and maintain compliance with the core requirements of the Federal Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention Act of 2002.
Through the agreement, the organization makes available $18,000 for use by the county and the county stands responsible for receipt and disbursement of the federal funds. Commissioner Bob Rolston explained the partnership to News Director Leslie Stratmoen, and detailed why it's needed and how it works during the Public Pulse show, with the help of Commissioner Terry Cram.
The approved agreement runs through the end of September of next year.
