Monday, we began our series on Republican Gubernatorial Candidate Ron Micheli's criticism of the increases in the state budget during Governor Dave Freudenthal's two terms in office. In part one of our series, Micheli defended his criticisms by pointing out that the state General Fund budget has more than tripled since 2002, and that the state needs to implement a zero-based budgeting process.
Today, we'll hear Republican Candidate for Wyoming Governor, Rita Meyer, and her opinion on Micheli's comments about the budgeting process.
Meyer pointed out that a lot of Micheli's constituents benefited from state spending during the budget surplus.
Be sure to join us Wednesday for part three of our series, when we'll hear Candidate Matt Mead's take on the situation.
