Sheridan College in conjunction with the Sheridan County Chamber of Commerce will host the fourth part in their Natural Resource Lecture Series this Thursday evening in the CTEL.
It's been a well-received series with more than 100 attendees at the first three sessions held during the past year and a half. The program is sponsored by SC's Ag Department and funded by the Diamond Cross Ranch. SC Ag director, Keith Klement.
Three speakers will span the hour, including Rachel Mealor, rangeland extension specialist in the department of ecosystem science and management at UW.
Brain A. Mealor, assistant professor and extension weed specialist for the department of plant sciences at UW will talk about weeds.
Finally, a Sheridan County speaker, Carrie Rogaczewski, District manager for the Sheridan County Conservation District. Klement tells us what she will talk about.
The event is set for this Thursday, April 19 from 6 to 7 pm. Refreshments will be available at following the program for those who wish to stay and visit with the presenters. The chamber of commerce will also give a brief presentation.
