Painting the Town Pink

It was pretty hard not to notice all the pink around Sheridan Saturday. It was the 4th annual “The Link-Partners in Pink,” a breast cancer awareness walk/run.

One in eight women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime and breast cancer is the second leading cause of death among women. Nancy Hooge says early detection is key.

It is estimated that over 220,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will die each year. In Wyoming, at least 20 women die each year from breast cancer.
