Fundraising Efforts Continue For Greenhouse Project In Sheridan

Matthew Hill of Sheridan received the Starfish Thrower Award at a ceremony in Cheyenne this week. The Starfish Thrower Awards are given annually by the Wyoming Department of Health’s Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services Division.

Big Transmission Plans to Power Through Southern Wyoming

Planning is underway to set the location for the Gateway West Transmission Line that will run from Glenrock, WY and across Idaho over a mix of public and private lands. Early input from the public has already resulted in the BLM shifting some line locations to respect historic westward trails and sites in Wyoming.

Zackery Morrison Sentencing Delayed

In Sheridan County District Court Tuesday morning, 19-year-old Zackery Morrison went before Judge John Fenn to receive sentencing on a 3rd Degree sexual abuse of a minor conviction. The court had ordered Morrison to undergo a psycho-sexual evaluation, which he has not yet had because of confusion over who is going to foot the bill for counseling services.

SAWS Board Approves Amending Rules and Regulations

Sheridan College Students Are Offering Tax Assistance Once Again This Year

Students at Sheridan College are once again offering free income tax assistance through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance program sponsored by the IRS. The next session will be Thursday February 11th from 2-6 pm in room W139B of the Whitney Building. The assistance is available to those with an income less than $50,000.
