State Officials Say Over 12,000 Absentee Ballots Cast

More than 12,000 voters, representing nearly 5 percent of registered voters, have cast their General Election ballots, according to figures released by the Secretary of State last week.

Former Legislator Wiederspahn Dies

CHEYENNE, Wyo. (AP) — Alvin Wiederspahn, a former Wyoming state legislator, preservationist and the husband of U.S. Rep. Cynthia Lummis, has died at age 65.

A statement released by Lummis' congressional office said Wiederspahn died in his sleep at home in Cheyenne.
