At their Tuesday meeting, the Buffalo City Council awarded the contract to construct the sports fields complex to O'Dell Construction of Sheridan.

At the bid opening last week, all four bids came in substantially over the original engineer's estimate of $2 million.

West Nile Virus Cases Down

The Associated Press reports human cases of West Nile Virus are on the decline in the state of Wyoming. In 2007, there were 185 cases and 2 deaths related to the virus, which tapered off to 10 cases in 2008, 12 cases and 1 death in 2009, 6 cases in 2010, and three infections last year.
