Commissioners Approve Request For Grant Fund Draw

Johnson County's Commissioners, at their last meeting, approved a request from the Volunteers of America (VOA) for a routine draw-down of funds from the Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (or OJJDP) program grant for operational funds.

A grass fire Wednesday afternoon burned about 50 acres about three miles east of Lower Prairie Dog Road in Sheridan County.

With the 75th anniversary of the Sturgis motorcycle rally set to get underway next week, the Wyoming Highway Patrol is getting ready for the influx of people traveling through Wyoming by adding additional enforcement over the next few weeks.
